Bob Massie's Statement on exclusion of Berkshire County from the Transportation Commission

Governor Baker just appointed a transportation commission that excluded any representation from Berkshire County. That’s just wrong.

Connecting our communities must be one of the highest priorities of a Governor. Good public transit, including high-speed rail between our cities, provides opportunities to all our residents. It pulls our state together. Excluding any part of the state works against the public good of the Commonwealth.

I stand with the legislators from Berkshire County calling out this poor decision. Charlie Baker - fix your mistake. Appoint a Berkshire representative and also ensure all regions of Massachusetts are represented on this commission. Everyone in this state counts.
